Holidays are filled with tears and laughter

Everyone comes here for Christmas. It's just how it goes. That means mainly like three things for me: 1. clean the house; 2. serve the guests; 3.clean the house. I used to hate it. I still hate the fact that Christmas has become this corporate holiday Valentine's Day has always been. It's sad how a day that's supposed to celebrate the birth of Our saviour is now nothing more than big lights and "What did you get for Christmas?" I'm fighting to get back the Christmas I grew up with. We weren't the richest family, so no fancy presents. It was all about being together and being a family. So, to get at least my family back on the right tracks, I decorated the tree. It was all hand-made decorations and no store bought shiny lights. Just a few candles to give that something extra. And guess what?! Almost everyone accepted it without complaining. There's always my little sister who knows how to ruin my good mood.

It the spirit of the holidays, I'm stopping this sad description of how dissappointed I am. Instead I'm going to wish you a merry Chrismas and a Happy New Year. May the next one be better than the last... x)
