The following post is a review of the film Rush, that is currently running in the cinemas. So, you've been warned!
Nikki Lauda (played by Daniel Brühl) and James Hunt (played by Chris Hemsworth), the main characters of the film, are both up and coming Formula 3 drivers who dream of driving in Formula 1. The film shows us the viewers how one of the most famous rivalries in Formula 1 history begins, motivates the drivers and also how it turns into mutual respect towards each other. Besides the fast-based races, we also get to peek into a 1970s Formula 1 driver's everyday life, portraying love, failed marriages and partying.
This film is shot with shocking precision. The script is truly compelling and well-written. The actors have embodied their characters in a way that makes you forget about their other roles (and forgetting Thor is very hard x) ).
If you are a fan of Formula 1 or car-racing in general, Rush is the freshest option for you. Based on true events, this action-packed film will surely both entertain you and shock you.
