Ahoy! my dear friends. I will now do something out of character and talk about my life. Recently I have only posted reviews about various things I watch. It is time to catch everybody up with my doings.
So, let's begin with the fact that taking a year of from school was both a good and a bad idea. It was good, because I've been able to do things I enjoy more freely. I'm not tired and stressed all the time. I don't feel unhappy about my life or myself. I am enjoying complete bliss. It is bad because my mother has taken it as her personal quest to change my mind. She, I understand now, thought it meant I was quitting for good. That was not my plan. My plan was to rest and reconsider my path. Maybe make some changes so that in five years time I wouldn't be regretting anything and wishing I'd done something differently. She has been calling and talking about it non-spot for the past four months. It has finally come to an end...
I told her my plans. I am going to change universities and finish my degree in Tallinn. I will do it the way I feel comfortable doing it. My way. She went crazy and contacted my aunt who works there and now the wheels are turning. I might go back to school when the next term begins (late January then..). No rest for the wicked. The only person I've told about this is K.L and my boss. It will affect her and my work a little. I don't know how to tell A.J and S.V about this huge change. I will have to make it as painless as possible.
So what else have I been up to? I went to Riga last week and had an awesome weekend with M.M and her friends. I got to go to the zoo, bowl a bit, visit a museum twice in two days, eat a lot and just generally hang out. On Sunday we went ice-skating and I managed to bruise my entire knee so that for a while it looked black. The bruise is going away slowly.
In October I had a small surgery (yes, again!). This time I got a lump removed from my back. It was in the simplest of terms a benign tumor. I am all right! I have a small scar with three stripes going through it (those were the stitches...) and that's all. Hopefully it was my last doctor visit this year. I might have to invest in a private parking spot if this keeps on... Me and the doctors are BFFs.
Lastly, I'm going to share some good advice for the following season of joy and bling. Get your friends' addresses and make some Christmas cards for them. Use Your local postal service and send them out! Yes, you might receive simple Facebook thank yous, but the feeling inside that you've tried to keep an awesome tradition alive, is so cool. Plus, making them yourself is just icing on the cake, you feel like you've created something amazing. This year I'm trying to top my previous cards by making it extra difficult. Hopefully my dearest will like it too.
So that is all,
I have shared the most important moments of my life (at least for the past couple of months...)
I wish You the best, stay healthy, and I'll see you soon...ish
R.
