Break ups

Shattered is my heart
It still hurts to be apart
Thanks a lot for the hurt
My every dream has been burnt

I used to love you very much
Now I hate your every touch
Pick up my body parts
Keep throwing poisoned darts

I will take the last shot
Boiling my heart - it's in the pot
Feelings are all left for dead
No reasons to get out of bed

Obviously I have recently gone through a painful break up. This is the way I always deal with break ups. I write poems that portray my pain and hurt. It's a coping mechanism as good as any other. It might be the safest one of all the options. I've had plenty of break ups. I've turned to other means of coping as well: crying, light drinking and just plain old hatred. No matter how the coping begins, it always ends with a poem. It's inevitable and it means closure. Well, usually it means closure. With this particular break up and that poem... it's not over. Not yet anyways. It takes time I suppose and not much of it has passed.

Anyways, I think I have shared enough of my personal life for this week. I hope you and I have a good year. 2012 - I'm glad it's over.
