Okay, now I've done what current media does everyday. I've written a title that is totally out of context and might not be that important. What I'm really referring to is the fact that my closet has two sides. They totally hate each other because they are from opposite parts of the Universe. One side is casual. It's filled with t-shirts, jeans and checker-patterned shirts. The other side is occupied by fancy blouses, a skirt and even a dress. They represent the standstill I'm currently part off. There's the laid back comfortable me and then there's the uptight office version 2.0.
I'm annoyed how people judge you based on the clothes you enjoy wearing. K has pointed out that our teachers are prone to do it as well. She got a comment about how well she was dressed on her practice (she was uptight and formal). At the same time the kids liked her more in jeans.
When I'm at work or giving an important presentation I'll dress according to the occasion. I can understand that a t-shirt with Cry-Baby on it would be wrong. So, why the fuck do they have to take away my freedom to wear whatever suits me when it's just a lecture? There are teachers who actually give better treatment to those who bother to dress up all the time. It's like they have no individuality at all. I think my style is kind of unique and I'm very proud of it. So, screw everyone else if they want to look exactly the same all the time. Sheep!
Okay, calming myself down. I'm a bit overly emotional when it comes to stuff like this. It's not really about the clothes or styles. It's about being who you are and not giving a shit about what others might say or think. Good luck being someone special when there's like a hundred other people who look and talk and think and feel like you. I actually feel sorry for you.
Regina.
PS next time I will not get so out of hand... maybe.
