The computer in Your office dies? Everything disappears. All the school work You have done and secretly hidden in its depths, all the work related Word documents and, well, everything. This of course has posed quite an inconvenience for moi, as I have spent the last two days restoring a lot of work. I had to retype and somehow design some hotel related templates. I also had to start over with some school stuff, which is annoying as hell. Damn You!
On a lighter note, I love my parents. I really do. If I don't say it enough then let this be a forever reminder of my feelings. I, as some of you are aware own a dinosaur for computer (running on its 8th year now :) ) and it's about time I replace it. My sister also has a laptop that needs upgrading, although hers is like half the age of mine. :) I'm very good with it. No, not really. It's just a ML which makes it unbreakable. It is slow as a snail and mostly growls at me. The sound card is out of commission etc. 100 different problems.
Getting sidetracked.
My parents just got wind of my issue. I have not shared my problems with them. I have been trying to save up some money to purchase a new one on my own, but now they decided to buy both me and my sister new laptops. This is the most generous present they have ever made me! I'm so grateful and in awe of them. How am I going to make this up to them? I need some good advice and ideas.
All we have to do now is find a laptop that is not too pricey and also reliable. As they don't make MLs anymore, which is a shame, the choices are limited. I don't want a Samsung either as mine lasted for 9 months give or take a week.
Okay, I have given you the simple recap of my week. Busy as always, loads of stuff to do. And loads more to be done. But I guess I will now have to manage, as the laptop is a reward for my hard work and independence. I love my parents. Just had to put is out there again.
